Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  Why do yoga?
A.  Yoga is a complete system for bringing wellbeing to body, mind & spirit, however you can choose the direction of your personal yoga journey.  If you want to practice yoga just to become more flexible, stronger, or improve your balance then yoga can certainly help with that!  Yoga can also help you to relax, recharge and deal with stress & anxiety by giving you valuable tools that you can take with you & use any time you need them.  Yoga is about helping you become the healthiest, happiest you ever!

Q.  Do I have to be strong or flexible to do yoga?
A.  Not at all.  While some poses may seem intimidating to begin with, these are often a progression of a simpler version.  The tricker poses can be fun, but they are not the goal.
Q.  What should I wear?
A.  Anything comfortable that you can move freely in.  Yoga is practiced barefoot so you do not need any special socks or footwear.
Q.  Do I need to bring anything to class?
A.  Yourself and an open mind!  Bring some water to drink, warm layers for relaxing, and if you have your own mat then thats great, please bring it along as I only have a limited number available to borrow.  Try not to eat anything too heavy just before class or you may feel uncomfortable in some of the poses.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time if it is your first class as you will need to fill out a student information form - or you can download one here if you prefer to print it out & bring it with you.
